The RDX KARA combines a hook-and-loop wrist cuff with an attached thumb and a ventilated palm. It is an option for bag and pad sessions where you want to put your gloves on and take them off without help. The version linked here is 12 oz in black.
Construction and fastening
RDX uses its Maya Hide ConvEX Skin outer material and Quadro-Dome 3 padding in this model. A grip bar sits inside the finger area, while the wrist strap wraps around the cuff to secure it. The attached thumb keeps the thumb section connected to the main glove.
The hook-and-loop closure is convenient for classes that alternate between glove work and other exercises. Open the cuff after each session to help the lining dry, and keep wet wraps out of the gloves.
Choosing the fit and weight
Try the gloves with your usual wraps, checking that your fingers can close naturally and the cuff holds without twisting. A 12 oz label describes the weight of the glove rather than a standard hand size.
