Description
The Everlast Powerlock has a polyurethane outer and a hook-and-loop wrist strap that folds back over the cuff. The linked pair is 14 oz in black, with a grey palm and cuff detail.
Padding and fastening
Inside the glove, layered foam surrounds a grip bar that sits beneath the fingers. The lining is perforated, and the wrist strap opens far enough to help you put the gloves on over wraps. The turnback closure lets you fasten each glove yourself between exercises.
This synthetic model is an alternative to leather gloves for bag and pad training. Wipe the outer after use, open the cuffs to air the lining and dry your wraps separately.
Choosing a glove weight
The 14 oz marking gives the glove weight; it does not tell you how much room there is around your fingers. Try both gloves with your usual wraps and check that you can make a comfortable fist. If you intend to spar, ask your coach whether this weight and model meet the club’s requirements.
