Description
The RDX KARA junior glove has an attached thumb, a ventilated palm and an adjustable Quick Touch hook-and-loop cuff. The version linked here is 6 oz in black, so confirm that weight with your child’s club before ordering.
Junior glove construction
RDX specifies a Maya Hide ConvEX Skin outer, Quadro-Dome 3 padding and an internal grip bar. The cuff opens for the child to put the glove on and then fastens around the wrist.
A hook-and-loop fastening is convenient for classes where children remove their gloves between activities. Check that the strap has enough overlap to hold securely on your child’s wrist.
Trying the gloves on
Use the wraps the child will wear in class and try both gloves. Ask them to close their hands and describe how the fingers and thumbs feel. The glove should stay in place without being bought oversized to grow into.
A retailer’s age guide cannot account for every child’s hand shape. Our junior glove fitting guide gives parents a checklist to use with the coach.
