The Beast Rope Elite uses a 3 m PVC-coated steel cable with aluminium handles and ball bearings. The package includes a spare cable and a storage bag.
Handles and cable
The grooved handles give your fingers a textured surface to hold, while the cable turns through bearings at the ends. This is a cable-style speed rope rather than a thick fabric or beaded rope, so the feel and rhythm will differ if you are used to those designs.
Adjust the length using the supplied instructions and test it with your usual stance before making any permanent cut. Leave enough clearance above and around you for the full swing of the rope.
Using it for boxing training
Use a suitable smooth training surface and avoid dragging the coated cable across rough ground. Check the coating, cable fittings and handles before a session. Coil it loosely for storage to avoid leaving sharp bends in the cable.
The boxing round timer lets you set work and rest intervals for skipping practice.
