Description
This Amazon Basics rope has a 3 m PVC cord, foam-covered handles and a ball-bearing design. Its adjustable length makes it an option for ordinary skipping practice without the extra weight of a weighted rope.
Adjusting the length
Check the adjustment instructions before changing or cutting the cord. Set the rope to a comfortable length for your height and technique, then practise a few controlled turns to check that it clears your feet without leaving excessive cord on the floor.
A lightweight PVC cord feels different from a beaded or heavier rope. If you are learning, begin at a pace where you can notice the rope’s position and adjust your timing.
Space and surface
Allow clearance above your head and on both sides, including light fittings and nearby furniture. A rough outdoor surface can wear the cord, so inspect it regularly for damage.
The boxing round timer can be used to organise skipping intervals, and our home boxing guide covers the space checks for a practice area.
