Description
The Dripex freestanding punch bag is 175 cm tall, with a listed base width of approximately 50 cm. It stands on a fillable base rather than hanging from a ceiling or wall bracket, making it an option where drilling a mount is impractical.
Base and spring system
The ABS base has twelve suction cups, while springs and TPU absorbers sit beneath the striking section. The base needs to be filled according to the assembly instructions, and the suction cups need a floor they can grip.
Check the manufacturer’s floor requirements before placing it on carpet, a textured surface or a mat. The listed 16 kg item weight is not the finished weight of the filled setup.
Allowing enough room
Measure the area around the bag as well as its base. You need room for your stance and footwork without stepping into furniture or catching the edge of the base. Decide where it will stay before filling it, because moving a filled base can be awkward.
Springs and absorbers still allow noise and vibration to travel through the floor. Consider neighbouring rooms and flats when choosing its position and training times.
Delivery and assembly
The listing describes delivery in two boxes. Check that all parts have arrived before assembling, and include filling material in your budget. Inspect the base, fasteners and striking surface regularly once the bag is in use.
